The role

In this role, you will help elevate the visual quality of our digital products, ensure consistency across mobile and web, and contribute to the continued development of our design system.

You will work closely with developers, UX colleagues and product stakeholders to design solutions that are intuitive, scalable and ready for implementation. This is a practical, execution-focused role where you will spend a significant part of your time designing features and improving product experiences.

Our platform is app-first, with the majority of bookings taking place in our mobile app, which customers also use when picking up and returning rented products.

Key responsibilities

UI & Visual Execution (Hands-on)

• Design concrete features and user flows in close collaboration with developers

• Elevate the visual quality of our digital products through your own design work

• Ensure visual consistency and usability across web and mobile experiences

• Deliver production-ready designs and specifications ready for implementation

Design System Ownership

• Contribute actively to the development and evolution of our design system

• Define and document components, patterns and design tokens

• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure consistent implementation

• Help ensure the design system is used and maintained in everyday product development

Iterative Product Development

• Create prototypes and design solutions in short iterative cycles

• Improve existing product experiences based on user feedback and product data

• Optimize key product flows, especially in our mobile app which handles most customer bookings

• Work pragmatically and deliver solutions that can quickly be tested and validated

Collaboration in a Small Design Team

• Work closely with UX colleagues, developers and product stakeholders

• Share experience and contribute to strengthening the overall design capability of the team

• Help move ideas forward through practical design work and collaboration

Professional skills

• Has solid experience with product design for digital products

• Demonstrates strong UI and visual design craftsmanship

• Has hands-on experience working with design systems

• Works effectively with developers and understands implementation constraints

• Has experience delivering designs in an agile product development environment

• Enjoys hands-on design work and actively producing design solutions

• Has a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset

• Thrives in an environment with short feedback loops and fast iterations

• Communicates design decisions clearly and confidently

• Start date: as soon as possible, with interviews conducted on a rolling basis

• The role is part of a small design team and works closely with our CTO and development team
